Congrats #classof2020! What an adventure it’s been. We get that your senior year didn’t end with grad parties, ceremonies and big gatherings and that can be a bummer. After all, graduation from high school or college deserves a celebration! We hear you and we’re here for you. That’s why we put our heads together and came up with a great way to help you celebrate your graduation day at home!
2020 has been nothing short of a wild ride. So why try to hold onto the same standards as traditional graduation? We’re ditching tradition and getting crafty with graduation ideas! Check out some of our tips below on how to share the love and celebrate your accomplishments.
Self(ie) Care
Graduation morning comes with nervous jitters and excited hype. Prep for the day with a little TLC to relax before your senior year comes to an end. Since 2020 is unofficially the year of the “mirror selfie,” start off your graduation day with a few self-care selfies in your bedroom mirror. Get all cozied up in an oversized sweatshirt and your favorite leggings and post that cute final senior selfie to Instagram.
All Dressed Up
Since you’ve got nothing but time, give a little focus to getting ready for the day. Video chat the crew while getting ready to hype up your besties for the day you’ve been waiting for. Slip into your graduation dress and add your robe and cap. Play your fav celebrity commencement speech, or have some fun creating your own. After all, this day is all about you.
Backyard Photoshoot
Big ceremonies are exciting… and incredibly long. Take a shortcut to the stage by setting up your own graduation photoshoot. Grab your sibs or a ‘rent and start snapping photos in your yard. Get those #artsy shots outside in your graduation dress that you’d never get before rushing to an actual ceremony. Throw on your cap and gown for that “just graduated” touch, or have some fun with #quarantine2020 signs and supplies. Either way, document your graduation day at home no matter how you spend it.
Once graduation day is over, keep the party going! Organize a parade of cars in the neighborhood, make your own signs, blast some music in the backyard and get all your best friends together for a virtual party. This is your big moment, 2020 Seniors! Celebrate every memory and prepare to make so. many. more. *claps*
